Welcome to the Douglas College Music Technology Diploma Portfolio Show, a forum for our graduating MTD students to showcase their music creation, production, sound design, and recording skills and to kickstart their careers in the freelance audio world.
About the Douglas College Music Technology Diploma
Our program navigates the intersection of music and technology, through audio engineering, music creation, and performance. Our graduates have worked together as a close cohort for two years, developing skills as audio engineers, music producers, sound designers, musicians, and artists, building team-skills for successful collaboration and engaging with the rapidly transforming music and audio tech sectors.
Music Technology at Douglas College provides top-of-the-range audio facilities and an experienced and dedicated faculty of industry professionals. Our students graduate with a grounding in audio technology, music production, music for film and TV, interactive audio, theory, and live sound. We are also excited this year to be rolling out the Advanced Certificate in Applied Audio (ADAUDI), an optional third year to MTD, focusing on areas of particular industry growth: advanced live sound and audio mastering, game audio, and postproduction. This expansion will add a Dolby Atmos room and a mastering room to our current suite of recording studios.
